The Tuas Desalination Plant, which can produce 30 million gallons of drinking water a day, will help to meet up to 30 percent of Singapore’s current water demand.
Spanning just 3.5ha – the size of three rugby fields – Tuas Desalination Plant is the country’s smallest plant to date. Despite its size, the plant can produce the same amount of drinking water as SingSpring Desalination Plant, Singapore’s first such plant.
Skyshot followed the construction of this project from January 2016 to its official opening in June 2018. 2 time-lapse cameras were installed since day 1 to document the construction process daily. We also had numerous ground shoots to cover the construction milestones. Lastly, a drone aerial shoot completes the story.
