We recently set up 5 units of Titan 3 Time-lapse camera systems for a Singapore-based shipyard. The purpose is to capture the construction of topside modules for an FPSO vessel. A floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) unit is a floating vessel used by the offshore oil and gas industry to produce and process hydrocarbons and store oil.
The Titan 3 Time-lapse Camera houses a Canon DSLR camera inside with a wide-angle lens to capture the images at 20 megapixels. Shooting at 15-minute intervals, the assembled images will provide around 6K of video resolution. This will allow us to zoom into the image up to 6 times, to create a time-lapse video with movement. Titan 3 can be powered by AC or solar panels and it has an internal battery that can last for around 7 days.
We will also be conducting several drone shoots and ground filming to capture the heavy lifting and milestones in this project. When completed in around 2 years' time, this topside module will be one of the biggest in the world.
